This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining high imaging standards. Responsibilities • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images • Review patient history and verify examination requests prior to imaging procedures • Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort throughout examinations • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation • Follow all infection control, safety, and departmental policies and procedures • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care • Monitor and maintain ultrasound equipment and report operational concerns as needed Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology; OR • High School Diploma/GED and successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography Technical Training Program • ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required • Current BLS Certification required Required Clinical Skills • Diagnostic ultrasound imaging • Patient assessment and preparation • Image acquisition and quality assurance • Electronic medical record documentation • Ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance • Patient education and communication Schedule & Assignment Details • Saturday and Sunday schedule • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM shifts • Monday through Friday off • 2-month contract assignment • New York, NY location What Candidates Can Expect We believe transparency matters.
