At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark ( ! **THE ROLE** : The Field Service Technician Level 2 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. If you are driven by innovation, service, and making a real impact, we invite you to bring your skills to our team as a Field Service Technician. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily after sufficient training is provided. + Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps + Troubleshooting of electrical control panels + General understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams + Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment + Preventative maintenance and emergency callouts + Operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers + Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc. + Working with various Company provided hand and power tools + Accurate record keeping inside Xylem's work order management system + Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations + Take care of company property + Demonstrates High Impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment + Must be able to function in a team environment + Work independently **QUALIFICATIONS:** + HS diploma or equivalent + 2 to 5 years of technical/mechanical work experience + Experience with water/wastewater highly preferred + Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen **Skill Requirements:** + Electrically and mechanically inclined + Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability + Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly + Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices **LEADERSHIP SKILLS :** + Proactively seeks feedback from peers, team members, and manager + Applies new knowledge and tech to improve outcomes within team + Identifies and mitigates risks + Breaks down problems effectively and leverages RCA + Prioritizes team's and organization's needs over self + Owning execution + Delegates effectively to empower teams to grow + Considers Xylem-wide implications of decisions + Performs strongly under pressure or in face of challenges + Focuses on long-term goals despite setbacks or failures + Has an effective personal operating model + Leads change with optimism **The estimated salary range for this position starts at $36/hourly.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement** Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
