Exeter Summer Potential Teaching Positions

About The Program Exeter Summer is a five‑week rigorous academic program for middle and high school students taught in the Harkness Method. Students come from diverse backgrounds and many choose to board on campus, while day students are affiliated with dorms and may participate in residential life activities. Responsibilities Teach 1 to 3 student‑centered discussion classes using the Harkness Method. Demonstrate cultural competency, respect for diversity, and commitment to equity and inclusion in all aspects of Academy life. Participate in residential life and work with a dorm team to create a positive experience for students, many of whom have never attended a boarding school. Serve as an advisor for 10–15 students, meeting regularly and acting as the primary contact between Exeter Summer and student families. Assist with move‑in/move‑out dates, chaperone on‑campus and off‑campus activities, and facilitate evening social functions. Qualifications Experience with diversity or cultural competency education, such as conferences, seminars, in‑service programs, coursework, or independent study.
