Sales Executive – Belém | Watu Brasil

Watu is looking for a Sales Executive based in Belém, Pará, to support the development and growth of Watu's business in the Northern region of Brazil.

The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing the retail channel, prospecting and activating new partners, building strong relationships with retailers and sales teams, and delivering the region's commercial targets.

We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven professional with a strong field presence, ideally with experience in fintech, payments, telecommunications, financial services, technology, or related industries, preferably working with retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the market – Prospect and develop new retailers, stores, and commercial partners across the region.
• Activate and manage stores – Lead the onboarding, implementation, and activation of new partners, ensuring a successful journey from zero to first sale and continued growth.
• Manage relationships – Conduct frequent store visits, build strong relationships with store managers and sales teams, and identify opportunities to increase sales.
• Deliver results – Track sales targets, conversion, store activation, and productivity, developing action plans to improve performance.
• Train and engage sales teams – Train store teams on Watu's products, processes, and value proposition.
• Drive in-store execution – Monitor pricing, campaigns, merchandising materials, brand visibility, and proper execution of commercial processes.
• Monitor the market and competition – Identify competitor activity, market opportunities, challenges, and regional trends.
• Manage portfolio health and operational quality – Monitor relevant portfolio indicators, identify operational issues, and take preventive actions to ensure a healthy operation.
• Report results and market insights – Provide regular updates on activities, results, opportunities, and relevant market insights to management.

Requirements

• Sales experience in fintech, payments, telecommunications, financial services, technology, or related industries.
• Experience working with retail and managing relationships with stores, sales teams, or commercial partners.
• Experience in field sales and strong willingness to work on the ground.
• Commercial, entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with CRM and sales management tools.
• Willingness to travel within the region when required.
• Must be based in Belém, Pará – mandatory requirement.
• Intermediate to advanced English is a strong plus.
