Job Summary :

The Specialty Branch Support Analyst receives, reviews, and processes Specialty Branch packets in support of the Ohio National Guard’s accessions and commissioning process. This role manages daily application and records entry across multiple state and federal personnel systems, prepares medical, education, and licensure documentation, and conducts applicant research and compliance verification to ensure Specialty Branch packets are processed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Specialty Branch Accession Packet Processing

• Receive, review, validate and process all Specialty Branch packets, including AMEDD, JAG, IPAP, UK-MSW and Chaplain.

• Receive, review, sort, and process individual AMEDD packets.

• Compile final AMEDD commissioning packets and support Specialty Branch personnel with commissioning medical and judicial applicants into the Ohio National Guard.

Application Data Entry and Personnel-System Research

• Enter Direct Commission Accession (DCA) applications daily, including applicant personal, employment, and background information.

• Research current and former military members using authorized personnel systems, including IPPS-A and the Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS).

Administrative Actions, Waivers, and Education Documentation

• Receive, review, and prepare medical waiver requests through MEDCHART and process actions through the Medical Action Tracking System (MATS).

• Receive, review, and prepare education documents through the Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS).

Applicant Eligibility, Credentialing, and Compliance Verification

• Verify and obtain nursing licensure information from the applicable nursing accreditation or licensing authority.

• Obtain National Guard Bureau verification that Chaplain applicants meet required ecclesiastical endorsement or accreditation requirements.

• Verify Selective Service registration, as applicable, for male applicants.

• Verify applicant eligibility requirements related to sex-offender registration in all states and territories, using authorized sources and procedures.

Working Conditions and Location:

Candidate must be available to report in person to Beightler Armory, 2825 W Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, Oh 43235, 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST

• Standard office environment with occasional remote coordination.

• Hybrid coordination with remote teammates; some travel for training/meetings may be required.

• May require handling of sensitive information.

• Some travel may be required for training or coordination meetings.

• Fast-paced, goal-driven environment handling sensitive data.

Qualifications Required:

• U.S. citizenship and ability to handle sensitive information

• 2+ years in data management, records processing, or similar role

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data privacy/compliance

• Ability to follow established SOPs and meet tight deadlines

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability/eligible to obtain a secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior National Guard experience (current or former)

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field

• Experience with MATS, IPPS-A, GIMS, MEDCHART, DCA, NGCRC, DPRO, IKROme, REDD, RDMS, or iPERMS

• Experience supporting military accessions, commissioning, or personnel records processes

• Ability to work with hybrid teams of contractors and government personnel

$50,000 - $52,000 a year
