TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Portland, Oregon, 97213!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of travel experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing. License: Valid Compact license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Experience with insulin administration, oral suctioning, colostomy/ileostomy management, and care for bowel obstruction patients is required. Description: This position requires the nurse to float between units as needed. Weekend shifts are required, with every other weekend expected. The typical patient ratio on this unit is 1:4. Candidates must possess a vehicle for this assignment. Experience in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, and telemetry is necessary. The nurse should be skilled in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration. Candidates should have experience with profound dysrhythmia interpretation and various airway management techniques. Wound care and early mobilization experience are also essential. Expected competencies include the use of rapid response and code teams, as well as management of surgical drains. The facility does not accept any background issues in certain compliance systems. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required. Travelers must be flexible and may be expected to float between nearby facilities as necessary. Failure to comply with floating requests may lead to assignment termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Cell phones will be provided if required for performance duties, and reimbursement for work-related cell phone expenses will be considered. Communication with facility contacts should only occur during scheduled interviews.
