Electrical Test Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite) Experience: 5-10 Years Job Type: Contract

Develop and execute test plans for electrical systems and embedded systems.

Perform functional, environmental, and reliability testing in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD).

Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and product quality.

Analyze test data, troubleshoot failures, and recommend design or process improvements.

Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Document test results and prepare technical reports for internal and customer review.

Support qualification and certification efforts for aerospace products.

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for aircraft electrical systems.

Do open box troubleshooting: ability to observe and test circuit boards to identify portions that are not functioning as intended.

Write and submit engineering investigation reports/FAR's.

Develop troubleshooting tests for emerging issues with new and existing product lines.

Access repair shop data and interpret the test findings and failure observations noted on the database and on the test data sheets.

Collect, organize, and interpret all component test results, failure observations. SIL (System Integration Lab) testing, engineering directed testing, and lab analysis.

Determine if the failure mode is a typical and may need trend monitoring.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
