Administrative Specialist

Full-time, Part-time

Berns Landscaping Services, Inc., a distinguished company with a rich history with over 40 years in delivering comprehensive landscaping, grounds, and tree maintenance services, is on the lookout for a committed Administrative Specialist. This role is pivotal to our operations, offering the chance to leave a significant mark through exceptional customer service and efficient administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, with a strong focus on customer service and database management.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls and follow-up on customer service requests.
  • Support the sales team with estimates and customer follow-up.
  • Generate and reconcile purchase orders, and perform various administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintain office files.
  • Provide operations and sales support.
  • Maintain a neat and organized workspace.
  • Prepare correspondence and proofread documents.
  • Operate company software, Microsoft Office suite, and standard office equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience involving office practices, customer service, and organizational operating procedures.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills and superior customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize, pay attention to detail, and solve problems.
  • Well-organized, self-starter, and able to turn chaos into order quickly.
  • Flexible, resourceful, and maintains a positive attitude.
