Job Details Job Location: Vernon, CA 90058 Salary Range: $71,000.00 - $73,000.00 Title: PAYROLL CLERK Supervisor: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Pacific American Fish Company (PAFCO) is a fast- paced, empowering and rewarding environment in a highly competitive industry. The payroll clerk will oversee the daily administration of payroll activities. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Prepares pay by verifying time records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers; calculating and producing quarterly incentive bonuses. Keeps track of pay periods, hourly wages, overtime, sick days and vacation days of employees Determines payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information, 401k deductions and direct deposits, wage assignments and garnishments. Fulfills wage garnishment requirements; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings; Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid time not worked, status and pay; calculating vacation earned. Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. QUALIFICATIONS CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS 2-4 years’ experience in payroll. Paycom experience preferred. Experience in budget development and management. Payroll experience preferably in a manufacturing and operations environment. Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
