Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients suffering from mood disorders to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, aspirations, and preferences, using a client-centered approach.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients' specific challenges effectively.

• Provide education and resources to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research on mood disorders and implement findings to enhance treatment methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development workshops.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse clientele, which may include vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping these individuals navigate their challenges and improve their mental health and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
