Job #: req37109 Position: Financial Analyst (GE) Organization: World Bank Sector: Treasury Location: Washington, DC, United States Closing Date: 7/3/2026 Term Duration: 3 years Recruitment Type: Local Recruitment Required Language: English Overview The Financial Analyst position is part of the WBG Treasury Vice Presidency, working within the Pension Investments (PENIN) team’s Investments Capabilities function. The role focuses on administration of investment and legal documentation, supporting the management of approximately US$47 billion of pension plan assets. Responsibilities Coordinating and monitoring investment and legal investment pipelines in close collaboration with LEGFI. Preparing, completing, and processing investment fund legal documents such as Subscription Documents, Side Letters, Limited Partner Agreements, and related transaction documents. Coordinating legal documentation sign‑off with the PEN Director and authorized signatories. Maintaining the legal investment pipeline, ensuring timely updates and liaison with LEGFI to achieve coverage and deadlines. Managing communication and logistics with asset managers, including meetings, due diligence sessions, and other outreach activities. Providing back‑up support to other Financial Assistants and handling ad‑hoc duties. Supporting internal and external audits. Assisting with the implementation of integrated end‑to‑end technology solutions that streamline investment processes. Qualifications Master’s degree in Administration or Law, or equivalent combination of education and at least 5 years of relevant work experience. Experience processing investment‑related legal documentation; familiarity with legal status of international organizations a plus. Basic understanding of economic and financial principles. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and coordination skills. Capacity to deliver high‑quality work independently. Integrity, responsibility, and a positive attitude. Strong legal capability to identify risks and liaise with stakeholders and LEGFI. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact tactfully at all levels. Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks, willingness to work overtime on short notice. Adherence to the highest ethical standards.
