Clinical Director of Intake

Job Overview As the Clinical Director of Intake, you will lead strategic planning for the assessment and referral department, overseeing psychiatric assessment services, crisis intervention, and referrals while collaborating with medical staff and administration. Responsibilities Lead assessment activities at the facility, providing clinical oversight to assessment counselors. Conduct psychiatric evaluations, crisis intervention, and referrals. Interface with medical staff, fellow department heads, administration, treatment teams, external case managers, and managed care organizations. Serve as liaison with other hospital intake departments. Promote a therapeutic environment and maintain high quality care. Qualifications Master's Degree in nursing or human relations field. Two or more years’ experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, including supervisory experience. Minimum of two years’ experience in a psychiatric hospital setting, including customer contact. Licensed to practice in the State of Georgia preferred. Working knowledge of DSM‑5 and the Mental Status Exam. Working knowledge of the addiction and recovery field.
