Job Description Job Description Job Title: Reimbursement Specialist Location: Sarasota, FL Job Type: 3+ month Temp Pay Rate: $27.00/hr+ DOE Hours: Fulltime - 40 hours Mon-Friday 8-5 Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred Minimum 1 year of current, applicable reimbursement or billing experience Knowledge of medical terminology Strong Microsoft Office, database, and medical billing software skills Ability to type at least 30 WPM Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Reimbursement Specialist to support reimbursement and collection activities for assigned payers. The Reimbursement Specialist will monitor claim status, research rejections and denials, perform necessary follow-up, and accurately document account activity to help ensure timely collection of payments. Responsibilities: Monitor insurance claims and reimbursement status Research rejected, denied, and returned claims Perform follow-up to secure payment from insurance providers Document account status and collection activity accurately Perform mathematical calculations and audit data for errors Maintain accurate billing and reimbursement records Work independently while collaborating with the reimbursement team Communicate professionally with payers and internal team members Preferred Experience: Previous home health billing experience Collections experience with Medicaid, Managed Care/Insurance, and Private Payers WellSky (Kinnser) experience Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage Stable healthcare reimbursement opportunity Professional, team-oriented work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
