Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, tailoring interventions to suit each client’s unique background and challenges.

• Maintain open communication with the center director regarding client scheduling, availability, and any support needed to enhance counseling outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Independently licensed in Washington, D.C. with at least 200 hours completed in residency, or license eligibility requirements in process.

• Preferred dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland to widen your therapeutic reach and client base.

• Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy or commitment to complete training within three months of hire, contributing to trauma processing skills.

• Strong practice and understanding of varied therapeutic modalities, enabling flexible approaches tailored to individual client needs.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and a trusting relationship with clients of diverse age groups and backgrounds.

• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, vital for effective counseling and establishing a safe space for clients.

• Strict adherence to confidentiality and ethical guidelines in all counseling practices.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
