The Automatic Door Service Tech will perform professional installation, repair, and service work on automatic swinging and sliding doors. The position will also cross train in electrical door hardware, access control systems, and camera systems. The Automatic Door Service Tech is responsible and accountable for maintaining a safe, productive, and timely work environment for both self and team members. They must have a professional and positive attitude in all activities, especially in interactions with customers. They will follow direction and guidance of CIH leading technicians for all work performed and complete duties as assigned. They will assist in ensuring work instructions are clear and necessary tools, materials, and equipment are loaded into company vehicle to ensure an efficient and productive customer visit, prior to leaving the office. They must ensure good workmanship in all activities including demolition, installation, and cleanup ensuring no damage to customer equipment or facility and proper installation of all materials and equipment. They will coordinate with service manager and other service technicians, as required to ensure the work is completed properly and in alignment with customer expectations. They will seek out training on new skills and installation techniques and diligently listen and consistently apply knowledge gained to grow expertise as a technician.

Essential functions include participating in any and all applicable training opportunities for both safety and this position. They will assist in removal, installation, service, and troubleshoot automatic door operators, access control systems, and camera systems per the scope of work and customer requirements. They will report daily job progress to Service and Installation Manager. They will track and maintain all job-related paperwork and submit in a timely manner. They will review packing slips and materials to assure suitability for the intended application before starting work. They will utilize company vehicles according to vehicle policy and applicable laws. They will work a flexible schedule as needed when work dictates. They will work at various job sites including construction sites and existing, in-use, facilities.

Experience and other requirements include 3+ years of relevant auto door experience, AAADM Certification, meeting or exceeding the skill requirements of this position, pre-employment background and drug screening, no issue with repetitive use of fingers and hands, standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs, ability to work at heights off of ladders, scaffolding, lifts, platforms, etc, and a valid driver's license with no adverse occurrences in the last 5 years.
