Client Service Coordinator

Job Summary Banfield Pet Hospitals is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Associate to join our team. The Associate will promote and provide routine and preventive care to pets, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and pets while maximizing throughput and delivering excellent service. Responsibilities Promote hospital services and encourage client visits while exemplifying the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and guiding the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team. Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support the needs of our wellness plan clients. Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients and pets, ensuring their comfort, and educating them about pet health. Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs and hospital services. Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering all pet information and history in the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service. Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information, and invoices; dispense prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, sell retail products, and schedule future appointments. Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures. Conduct administrative functions as necessary. Perform other job duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Ability to multitask: manage multiple tasks simultaneously and shift attention without loss of accuracy. Strong communication skills: read, write, and speak fluent English with proper grammar and vocabulary. Organizational ability: systematic approach, orderly, and ability to cut through confusion. Problem‑solving skills: identify, analyze, and translate problems into practical solutions. Client service skills: provide attentive, courteous, and informative service. Intellectual ability: follow instructions given orally, in writing, or by diagram. Mathematical ability: perform basic arithmetic, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and convert units. Computer skills: comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and specialized software. Initiative: use discretion to find solutions, present options, and take on additional responsibility. Integrity: adhere to Banfield values, show honesty, discretion, and sound judgment. Cooperativeness: collaborate and compromise, share relevant information promptly. Flexibility: adapt to changing situations and opportunities. Independence: perform tasks without supervision. Tolerance for stress/resiliency: maintain a positive outlook and composure in stressful situations. Physical: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds; good hand‑eye coordination and visual acuity. Work hours: may require more than 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Moderately high noise level in the work environment. Ambulatory skills necessary to perform duties while at the hospital. Visual requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Pay Hourly wage range: $15.39 – $19.67. Final rate determined by experience, skill level, and education.
