Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Orthopedic

Job Details:
Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and imaging studies
Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management and follow-up care
Educate patients and families regarding orthopedic conditions, treatment plans, recovery expectations, and rehabilitation
Perform orthopedic-related procedures including joint injections and other office-based procedures
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the medical record
Participate in rotational call coverage as assigned (1:4 schedule)
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and ancillary departments
Day-shift schedule promoting excellent work-life balance
Must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Current Vermont PA-C License required (or willingness to obtain)
CPR and DEA certification required prior to start
Minimum 2 years PA experience in primary care or relevant specialty preferred
Not accepting visa candidates or new graduates with less than 1 year experience
