Craft individualized treatment plans that target immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.

Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges.

Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated care plans.

Provide education and resources to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the therapy sessions.

Assist with infrequent inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring that continuity of care is maintained across the treatment spectrum.

Keep meticulous and timely records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Complete a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Hold state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.

Mastery of evidence-based treatment methodologies for varied age groups, demonstrating strong knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech and language disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team.

Capability to modify therapy methods to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical reasoning and ability to resolve complex issues as they arise.

Experienced with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
