Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office. Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment. Experience with durable goods manufacturing environments. Familiarity with shipping regulations and carrier requirements (e.g., UPS, FedEx, freight). Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Experience using ERP systems for inventory and order management. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy and quality. Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer requirements, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, including data entry into inventory management systems. Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to organize storage and timely retrieval of materials and finished goods. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements during all shipping and receiving processes. Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or delays. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Skills The Shipping & Receiving Specialist utilizes strong organizational and communication skills daily to coordinate shipments and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
