Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime required based on business needs.Job Responsibilities:Receive and sort clinical lab specimensPrepare specimens for testing and analysisScan and/or data entry of specimen and patient informationEnsure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenanceTroubleshoot any specimen related issuesReplenish test bench supplies as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environmentComplete record logs and other administrative duties as requestedFollow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standardsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalentPreferred Qualification:Current or prior Labcorp experienceOne years or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospitalOne year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environmentOne years or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experienceAdditional Job Standards:Comfortability with handling biological specimensAble to accurately identify specimensBasic computer knowledge and data entry skillsHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitaskAble to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around timesStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAble to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAble to work overtime as neededAt Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
