Position Details Mercy Clinic Springfield – Pediatric Endocrinology. Full‑time, Monday‑Friday days. Overview Medical Assistants (MAs) in the medical office setting support providers by delivering direct and indirect patient care in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The MA may assist with clinical procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The MA functions within their defined scope of practice (based on office type clinic/HOD), under supervision, and in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards of care. Responsibilities Assist physicians and office staff with patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice. Perform related duties as assigned. Maintain accurate documentation. Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist with clinical procedures within the scope of practice. Communicate with patients, families, visitors and co‑workers in a caring, friendly, professional manner. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, Certified/Registered Medical Assistant from accredited program. Experience: One year of applicable patient care experience or medical office experience defined by the clinic. New hires must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
