Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Accountant to maintain funding for self-insured clients, communicate claims registers to clients, and prepare and distribute client reports and billing documentation. This position will be a contract and remote .

Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

What You'll Do

• Maintain funding for self-insured clients (35%)

• Communicate claims registers to clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

• Serve as a liaison between external client contacts and internal departments (30%)

• Prepare and distribute client reports and invoices daily, weekly, or monthly (35%)

• Monitor and maintain accurate financial and funding records

• Identify and resolve issues by collaborating with appropriate departments

• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 0-1+ years of relevant experience

• Strong numerical aptitude

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Ability to identify issues and collaborate with internal departments to resolve them

Preferred:

• Some college coursework

• Prior experience in billing

• Prior experience in eligibility administration

• Experience supporting client-facing financial or funding processes

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$19-$22 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
