CT Technologist

The Level 2 CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic CT scans with a focus on patient safety and accurate imaging. This role involves preparing patients, coordinating with physicians, administering IVs when necessary, and ensuring proper documentation and image processing. The technologist must have a minimum of two years' experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center exposure, and maintain all required certifications and licensure. Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam details prior to scanning, adhering to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, including safe handling of patients with limited mobility.
• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast administration.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, ensuring all images are properly identified and sent to PACS.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the scanning facility.

• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid New York State CT Technologist licensure (must be obtained prior to start).
• Minimum two years of CT technologist experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in patient communication and compassionate care.

• Injection therapy certification or willingness to complete during orientation.
• Experience with Philips and Siemens CT equipment.
• Experience using EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Telemetry experience.

• Weekend overnight shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST.
• On-call duties including 2-3 call shifts per month, holidays, and callbacks as needed.
• Must be able to safely lift and position patients with limited mobility.

• Work schedule consists of weekend overnight shifts: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST.
• On-call shifts approximately 2-3 times per month, including holidays and callback as required by unit needs.
