Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations.
- Circulate for C-sections and assist the surgical team as needed in the delivery suite.
- Supervise and delegate care tasks to ancillary personnel consistent with scope of practice.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications per orders, perform assessments, and document findings accurately.
- Educate and support patients and families about labor, postpartum recovery, and newborn care; promote breastfeeding and newborn safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality of care standards.

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Perinatal/L&D nursing experience (preferred or demonstrated ability in obstetric care)
- Ability to work Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week in a travel assignment
- Competent in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including obstetric emergencies; ability to circulate for C-sections
- Unit operates under CNA representation; ability to work within a CNA-represented environment and coordinate with ancillary staff
