Water Tech Program Manager, AWS Infrastructure Services

Job ID: 10571949 | Amazon.com Services LLC

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Are you passionate about making an impact in the water industry? We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in a fast paced, data-driven environment. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver, and have an extremely high level of customer focus. This role will support our goal to deliver scalable water infrastructure. You will work backwards to define roadmaps, and drive execution across stakeholders. This role will support AWS’s sustainable infrastructure expansion by owning development of mechanisms and technology solutions that deliver metrics, automation, data management, and analytics to help achieve our scale. The candidate will be comfortable managing competing priorities and be able to bring clarity and order to ambiguous scenarios. A successful candidate will have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people at every level, both internally and externally.

Key job responsibilities

• Single threaded owner for program management throughout lifecycle of strategic initiatives and technology solutions.
• Work cross-functionally across leaders in Infrastructure org to influence priorities and trade-offs, drive alignment, and execute development.
• Create and execute plans to deliver complex cross-team programs and initiatives (e.g. building and managing interactivity between tools, increasing data quality, and accelerating customer adoption).
• Lead development of org-level metrics, including defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive high impact business decisions and reporting to senior leadership.
• Drive process improvement to streamline execution of strategic initiatives and technology solutions.
• Establish cadence to review the overall performance of the stakeholder teams, the timeline, and progress to overall deliverables.
