About the Role:

Rainbow Restoration of Sacramento is looking for a skilled and dependable Mitigation Technician to join our growing team in Sacramento, CA. This is your chance to make a real difference by helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and mold damage when they need it most. Responsibilities:

• Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation and remediation services on residential and commercial properties
• Extract standing water and set up drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and desiccants
• Conduct moisture readings and document drying progress using industry-standard tools and software
• Safely remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation as part of the mitigation process
• Communicate professionally with property owners, adjusters, and project managers throughout the restoration process
• Maintain, clean, and properly store all mitigation equipment and company vehicles
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekend assignments as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience in water damage mitigation, restoration, or a related construction/trade field preferred
• IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, or similar) is a plus but not required - we will train the right candidate
• Ability to operate extraction equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document job site conditions accurately
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
