Laser Operator - 1st Shift

Holman Upfitting has a great opportunity for a 2nd Shift Laser Operator to join our team in Huntington IN! Starting pay: $20 per hour + 2nd shift 10% premium Shift: 2pm- 12:30am (2nd shift) Four 10-hour days with a 3-day weekend Benefits include health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, paid time off and more! Eligible for benefits within 30 days of employment Job Responsibilities Ensure proper nesting of parts for optimized output and reduced scrap. Inspect sheet metal for quality prior to beginning cutting operation. Inspect parts to ensure quality of laser cuts. Count and stack parts for next operation. Comply with all required safety protocols. Daily inspection and routine maintenance of equipment. Dispose of scraps in a safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize parts by type and size. Experience using measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers and/or material thickness gauges is strongly desired. Some experience with reading CAD drawings is a plus. Past experience reading plans, blueprints, drawings, and models is a plus. Must be detail orientated. Must be able to read and understand equipment operating instructions Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
