As our Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our employee-owners are paid accurately and on time. As a 100% employee-owned company, we take pride in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and opportunity for both our clients and team members.If you enjoy working with details, solving problems, and supporting employees and project teams through accurate, timely payroll work, we would love to hear from you.Your ImpactProcess weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for applicable projects.Review timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with employees, supervisors, and project teams.Maintain payroll records and employee payroll data while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.Assist with payroll tax reporting, garnishments, deductions, and other payroll-related transactions.Respond to employee payroll questions and provide timely, service-oriented support.Support audits and reporting requirements by providing payroll documentation as needed.Serve as backup support for payroll-related systems and processes.Collaborate with Accounting, Human Resources, and project teams to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.Assist with additional accounting and administrative functions as needed.Who You AreAssociate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.2+ years of payroll administration experience preferred.Certified payroll experience is preferred.Experience in construction, union payroll, or multi-state payroll environments is a plus.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of payroll principles, practices, and applicable regulations.Strong data entry and numerical accuracy skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Ability to identify discrepancies, perform research, and resolve issues effectively.Experience with Viewpoint or similar payroll/accounting software is preferred.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Why Guarantee?Benefits, Compensation, Community Involvement, and Employee AppreciationEach member of the Guarantee team is essential to building our successful future.
