Accounts Payable Specialist | Midtown Manhattan | Hybrid | $75K–$80K+ | Discretionary Bonus
\n \nAbout the Role
\nA privately owned, growing wholesale company is seeking an experienced AP Specialist to oversee core accounts payable functions across two affiliated businesses. This is a hands-on opportunity with visibility to the finance leadership team and potential for growth.
\n \nTop Requirements
\n- \n
- 4+ years of Accounts Payable experience \n
- Wholesale industry experience is required \n
- Experience working with inventory-related accounting \n
- Strong vendor management and AP aging experience \n
- Experience with cash forecasting and AP postings \n
- Ability to prepare and track AP KPIs \n
- QuickBooks experience \n
- Bachelor's degree preferred \n
Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Take ownership of the AP inbox and daily AP operations. \n
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve invoice/payment issues. \n
- Post AP transactions and monitor AP aging. \n
- Prepare cash forecasts and support cash management. \n
- Process and review expense reports. \n
- Prepare AP reporting and KPIs for management. \n
- Work closely with the Controllers, VP of Finance, Credit Manager, and Senior Accountant. \n
- Potentially oversee an offshore AP data-entry team . \n
- Support AP processes related to inventory and wholesale operations. \n
- Assist with process improvements and the upcoming Microsoft Dynamics implementation . \n
Compensation & Schedule
\n- \n
- $75,000–$80,000+ , depending on experience \n
- Discretionary bonus \n
- First 30 days: 5 days in office \n
- After 30 days: 4 days in office / 1 day remote \n
- 9:00 AM–6:00 PM \n
- Remote day assigned by management \n
