Admissions Representative

Centurion Surgery Center is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Admissions Representative to join our ambulatory surgery center (ASC) team. The Admissions Representative is responsible for ensuring a seamless patient registration and admissions process by verifying patient information, confirming insurance eligibility, collecting required documentation and payments, and providing exceptional customer service. This role plays a vital part in creating a positive patient experience while supporting efficient clinical operations. Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner. Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and financial information. Confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and referrals as required. Obtain and scan identification, insurance cards, and other required documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR). Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and outstanding patient balances. Review and obtain signatures on required consent forms and admission paperwork. Schedule or confirm surgical procedures and arrival times as needed. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally and courteously. Coordinate with clinical staff, physicians' offices, and the business office to ensure complete and accurate patient records. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements. Assist with other front office and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year of medical office, hospital, or ambulatory surgery center admissions experience preferred. Experience with insurance verification, patient registration, and medical terminology preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
