Technical Operator

Team Lead, Technical Operator Location: Sorrento Valley, CA 92121 Hours: 2 nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm Pay: $29.15/hr Temp-to-Hire ***Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen*** An industry leading medical device manufacturer is seeking a skilled Team Lead to join their team. The Team Lead, Technical Operator is a hands-on production leader responsible for operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment while providing daily direction and support to a team of Technical Operators. This role ensures production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance are consistently achieved in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong machine operation experience, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead daily production activities and coordinate workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards. Operate, set up, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing and packaging equipment. Train, coach, and support Technical Operators on equipment, processes, safety, and quality requirements. Monitor team performance and provide guidance to ensure productivity and compliance goals are met. Identify and escalate equipment, process, and quality issues while supporting corrective actions. Ensure adherence to GMP, GDP, SOPs, FDA regulations, and company policies. Complete and review production documentation and maintain accurate records. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to support operational efficiency. Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience 5+ years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring employees. Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated leadership and team development abilities. Knowledge of GMP, GDP, FDA, and ISO requirements. Ability to prioritize work and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
