Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and in-depth evaluations of medical histories
• Assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical conditions through careful interpretation of imaging and lab results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies for patients
• Provide integral intraoperative support, encompassing preparations of operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently passing instruments during operations
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, managing wounds, planning discharge procedures, and providing patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preference for completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus

Necessary Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Essential Skills

• Strong grasp of surgical principles and sterile technique
