Job Title: Packaging Laborer
Pay: $21/hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP

You'll work closely with shift leaders to manage bagging and baler processes, ensuring products are packaged efficiently and safely. Your role will be vital in maintaining high-quality standards while keeping work areas clean and organized.


What You'll Do
As a Packaging Laborer, you will be responsible for

• Machinery Operation: Operate bagging and baler machinery in accordance with safety and efficiency guidelines
• Production Support: Assist in starting and stopping pellet mills, and report any moisture or material issues to the Shift Lead
• Product Handling: Move, wrap, and stack finished products on pallets, ensuring proper placement in the warehouse
• Equipment Use: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials safely
• Quality & Reporting: Complete production reports accurately, fill pellet sample cups, and tag pallets with quality control information
• Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper procedures and company policies
• Maintenance: Perform simple maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal operation

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior forklift experience and familiarity with production lines is a plus
• Good hand-eye-foot coordination to operate machinery safely
• Ability to read scales and interpret measurements
• Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and stand for over 7 hours per shift

Location & Schedule
This position is on-site in Cascade Locks, OR

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Overtime: Occasional overtime as needed based on production demands
