Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule: Day - 3x12

Assignment Details:

• Contract Weeks: 13
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required
• Desired: Previous clinical experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
• Prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition to ensure critical cases are attended first.
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as per physician orders.
• Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Work closely with the medical team, including physicians and support staff.
• Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and responses to care in electronic health records or paper charts.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care instructions.
• Respond to rapid response calls and any critical situations requiring immediate intervention.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must participate in required education for applicable programs.
• Agency nurses may be floated to other departments where qualified before core staff are floated.
