Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts, nights (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our fast-paced, high-volume emergency department. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex diagnoses and will be required to float as necessary within the department.

Responsibilities

• Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Administration of emergency medications
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Triage and assessment of incoming patients
• Implementation of isolation precautions and management of infectious conditions
• Phlebotomy and blood product administration
• Monitoring and care of ventilated patients
• Documentation of patient care in the Epic charting system

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license in Maryland or compact license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required
• Preferred experience includes charge nurse experience and community hospital experience
• Previous trauma level I or II experience is preferred
• CPI certification is required on site during orientation
