We hire ambitious and dedicated professionals to fill positions at all levels of our organization.Qualifications:2+ years' experience operating as a construction/bridge welder.Current and valid certification for ¾" and lower required. AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certification preferred, or the practical field knowledge to obtain certificates.Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedure.Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening.Valid drivers license with clean driving record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years.) preferred.Responsibilities:Operate angle grinders and other small tools to prepare parts for welding.Read and interpret standard welding notations.Select proper materials, measure and cut to specifications.Field - Field install welds, including weld pile, bearings, SIP decking and other bridge structural elements.Shop – Fabricate and repair buckets, blades, trench boxes, vehicle parts, and specialized tools.Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions.Coordinate with field and/or shop for required schedule of repairs.Operator welding truck and maintains the materials, tools and equipment on the truck.Job Type: Full-Time, Year-RoundLocation: Richmond, VA RegionWorking Hours: Start time is 6:00 AM. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
