Job Title: Locum - Physician - Surgery - Cardiovascular Kearney, NE


Job Description:

Seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide coverage at a 268-bed regional referral center and level 2 trauma center. The provider will perform complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, including CABG and valve cases, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The assignment offers flexible scheduling with coverage required 24 hours per day, including holidays.


Position Details:

• FTE: PRN
• Start Date: 06/02/2026
• Shift: 24-hour coverage periods
• Required Procedures: Cardiac (CABG, valve cases) and Thoracic surgeries
• Credentialing: 60-90 days
• EMR: Epic

Compensation Highlights:

• Orientation: $250-$275 per hour (after 8 hours)
• On Call (Daily): $4,650-$5,000 per 24 hours (includes 4 hours gratis)
• 24-Hour Holiday Call Rate: $6,975-$7,500 per 24 hours (includes 4 hours gratis)
• Call Back: $500-$550 per hour of patient contact (after gratis hours)
• Holiday Call Back: $750-$825 per hour of patient contact (after gratis hours)
• Average Callback Hours: 4 hours

Additional Requirements:

• Must have experience performing cardiac and thoracic cases
• Credentialing and billing enrollment completed within 60-90 days
• Flexible to accommodate scheduled dates with preference for providers able to cover the required shifts
