Position: Technical Support Specialist  

Reason for Opening: backfill of someone who left on their own  

Date Position was opened: 10/21

Location: must be local to Wilsonville OR area (right outside Portland OR); Ore Pac Avenue, Wilsonville, OR 97070

Will need to be onsite 2 days a week

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Visa Restrictions: needs to be able to convert without sponsorship

Conversion Salary: up to $65k

Interview Process: first round 30 minute virtual interview with HM, final round will be onsite at the Wilsonville branch to meet with the IT support team members

Thursday 10/22 anytime EXCEPT from 12-1pm CST

Friday 10/23 wide open to interview  

Competition/Internal HR: EXCLUSIVE

Start Date (reason for specific start date): ASAP

Call Notes from 8/13:

About 12 people total on the team, 4 sit in the OR branch

At least 1-2 years of IT support experience

Expanding support to west coast branches

Shift: 8am-5pm PST

AD and Azure experience would be great but not required

200 total employees in the OR branch

This person needs to be professional and polished, but it is a blue-collar environment

Job Description:

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:  

• Providing technical support to customers who are experiencing problems or issues with a product or service. This may involve troubleshooting hardware or software problems, answering technical questions, providing guidance on product usage or taking apart a computer and working inside the computer. 
• Resolving customer issues in a timely and effective manner. This may involve working with other departments or vendors to resolve more complex issues.
• Documenting customer interactions, including the nature of the problem, steps taken to resolve the issue, and any follow-up that may be required.
• Communicating with customers in a clear and concise manner. This may involve explaining technical concepts in non-technical language or translating complex technical information into easily understandable terms.
• Creating technical training documentation by researching, drafting, and designing technical documents such as manuals, guides, diagrams, and schematics.
• Updating technical documentation to reflect changes in products, services, or processes. This may involve adding new information, modifying existing content, or removing outdated information.
• Maintaining technical knowledge by staying up to date with the latest product developments and technical trends in order to provide effective technical support to customers.

Qualifications:  

• Computer Science Degree preferred but not required. 
• 1-3 years of technical experience or computer programming required. 
• Onsite position - Monday-Friday - 8am-5pm 
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Windows, and mobile device operating systems.
