The Asphalt Paver Operator plays a critical role in the successful completion of large commercial and mixed-size paving projects. Responsible for operating specific asphalt paving equipment, maintaining machinery, and ensuring site readiness, this role demands precision and a commitment to quality. The Operator works closely within a dedicated paving crew and reports directly to the Site Supervisor, frequently traveling between job sites to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving machines accurately and safely
• Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment function
• Prepare sites to meet project specifications and safety standards
• Monitor paving quality and make adjustments to maintain standards
• Coordinate with the paving crew and Site Supervisor to facilitate smooth operations
• Travel frequently between project sites as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating asphalt pavers
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and standards
• Proficient in machine maintenance and basic repairs
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality and safety

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Pay and Benefits

• Full-Time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: up to $38 an hour, depending on experience
