Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care for patients in a critical care setting, with a focus on cardiovascular and postoperative care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within the scope of practice while maintaining patient safety.
- Apply advanced critical care knowledge for patients with multi-system involvement, including ventilation, neuro/trauma scenarios, respiratory failure, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Monitor patient status, interpret assessments and data, respond to changes in condition, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensure infection control and patient safety, and participate in handoffs to oncoming staff.
- Educate patients and families as appropriate and participate in rounds and quality improvement activities.

Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in California
- CVICU experience or strong critical care background preferred
- Ability to perform 12-hour day shifts in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Availability to start on 11/09/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
