Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role requiring 2 years of acute inpatient experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (overflow unit) setting
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (6:45am-7:15pm), 3 days per week
• Every other weekend required
• 14-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients
• Provides patient and family education throughout the care continuum
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and organizational needs
