Social Worker / Therapist

Location: Norfolk,VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Setting: Intensive Outpatient & Partial Hospitalization
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
Manage an assigned client caseload and monitor progress.
Facilitate specialized therapeutic groups.
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and referral sources.
Complete clinical documentation, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Coordinate client care from admission through discharge.
Participate in clinical and case consultation meetings.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
Active clinical or associate-level license in Virginia.
Accepted credentials include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with clients with primary mental health diagnoses.
Experience working in PHP and/or IOP settings required.
Group therapy experience required.
Proficiency in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Strong communication, clinical assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
