ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a critical care environment. This role requires a dedicated professional who can work effectively in dynamic situations and is capable of floating between different units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
• Floating between units is required based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Valid New York nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse.
• Charge experience is highly preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.
• Locals must reside outside a 75-mile radius.
• First-time travelers may be considered.

Work Environment

This position involves a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2-3, ensuring a manageable workload that fosters effective patient care. The ICU environment demands high levels of attention, skill, and professionalism.
