Registered Nurse - Medical Step Down Unit

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical Step Down Unit with 16-20 beds. The unit provides care for patients with conditions including Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a step down unit.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Support patients and their families with education and resources.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Current RN licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
