Quick Facts: Location: Memphis, TN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: Temporary/Contract Shift: Varies (likely day shift; specifics to be confirmed) Hours/Week: 40 hrs/week (full-time) Employment Type: W-2 Contract Licensure/Certifications: Active Physician Assistant license, BLS/ACLS required Experience: Prior experience in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgical settings preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly pay rate of $1.00 (discussed upon application) Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws What You’ll Do: Assist in complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and open-heart procedures Demonstrate independent abilities in EVH vein harvesting and arterial procedures Support pre- and post-operative patient care in CV ICU and surgical units Manage critical care patients with procedures such as Impella, chest tube insertion, and central line placement Collaborate with surgical teams on sternotomy closure and vascular access procedures Ensure patient safety and compliance with facility protocols during all surgical interventions What You Need: Active Physician Assistant license in Tennessee or eligible for licensure Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgical support Proficiency in managing critical care patients and performing specialized procedures (e.g., EVH, Impella) Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical skills About the Assignment: Join a dedicated team in Memphis providing exceptional cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical support.
