Job Summary

Advance Concrete is looking for an organized, upbeat and proactive Director of First Impressions to own the front-office experience and help keep our workplace running smoothly.

This part-time, in-office position offers a consistent Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM schedule —a great fit for someone looking for a professional role that works well with school-day or other daytime commitments.

This isn't a sit-and-wait-for-something-to-do position. We want someone who notices what needs attention and takes care of it—whether that's welcoming a visitor, preparing a conference room, organizing supplies, helping with an employee event, watering the office plants or finally tackling the mystery containers in the refrigerator.

What You'll Do

Front Office & Administration

• Welcome visitors, vendors and employees with a friendly, professional attitude

• Answer and direct incoming calls as needed

• Coordinate mail, packages and deliveries

• Keep the reception area, conference rooms and shared spaces organized and presentation-ready

• Maintain office, copier, kitchen and breakroom supplies

• Organize, scan and electronically file documents

• Assist with correspondence, forms and general administrative projects

• Coordinate with office, cleaning, copier and other service vendors

Workplace & Culture

• Help maintain a clean, organized and welcoming workplace

• Prepare conference rooms for meetings, including refreshments, materials and cleanup

• Assist with company lunches, celebrations and employee events

• Help recognize birthdays, anniversaries and employee milestones

• Prepare workspaces and assist with welcoming new employees

• Maintain office plants and common areas

• Look for thoughtful, practical ways to improve the employee and visitor experience

Administrative Support

• Provide administrative support to Accounting, HR and management

• Assist with organizing credit card receipts and supporting documentation

• Help maintain vendor, insurance and company records

• Assist with vehicle registrations, titles, tags and other fleet documentation

• Coordinate office supplies, company apparel and other administrative purchases

• Assist with special projects and office organization as needed

• Handle confidential information professionally

Qualifications

• Strong organization and attention to detail

• Professional and friendly communication skills

• Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

• Comfortable learning new technology

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

• NC Notary Public preferred

• Construction, service-company or fleet experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Approximately 20 hours per week

This is an in-office position . Some flexibility to work additional or adjusted hours may occasionally be needed for meetings, employee events, office coverage or other business needs.

Compensation

$20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
