Journeyman Electrician

Today, Nasoya offers more than 10 different varieties of tofu, including ready-to-serve items like TofuBaked and Toss'ables, pre-marinated and pre-baked to eliminate prep time and help consumers that are unsure about how to cook with tofu.Nasoya is hiring an Electrician to be responsible for working with Manager to optimize plant and production lines efficiency through the maintenance of plant utilities including compressed air production, steam generation, potable water system, local ventilation, utility and process pumps and positive displacement blowers, compactors.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Daily maintenance of steam generating equipment, including collecting samples and conducting tests to correct supply water quality, adjusting water conductivity, manually supplying water softening systemsDaily monitoring of HVAC function, adjustments as neededDaily monitoring and maintenance of ammonia and Freon systemsDaily monitoring and maintenance of potable water systemDaily monitoring and maintenance of hot water system for processing and sanitationRequest parts and services in timely mannerMaintain documentation for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposesActively participate in all planned service done by contractorsComplete all scheduled maintenance of equipment in timely manner with high quality: water, compressed air, steam, roof top ventilation system, process pumps, heat exchangersSchedule and complete all repairs as required, requesting support as neededReplace utility and process pumps and motors, refrigeration fans and drives, valves and drive belts, positive displacement blowers and airlocksRepairs of compactors and pressesReduce spending by rebuilding pumps and pump stations, valves and fansEfficient and knowledgeable support of production processing and packaging when needs ariseOther duties or projects as assignedSkills/Qualifications:Journeyman license required3-5 years of utilities maintenanceSteam Plant Operator License preferred; HVACR Certification strongly preferredExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, computer printouts, system requirements and programs, contracts, manualsComprehensive knowledge of the standard principles and concepts of mechanical designComprehensive knowledge of refrigeration and HVACIn-depth knowledge of fluid power, heat transfer, pumps and valves, and internal processes in plant utility equipmentKnowledge of high and low voltage wiring, welding and fabrication, hydraulics of presses and compactorsKnowledge of CMMSHigh energy, productive, team playerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively and demonstrate effective listening skillsDemonstrates commitment to safetyWe offer competitive pay and benefits package, including health (~80-90% company paid) for employee and dependents, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, company match 401K plan, vacation, floating holidays, and company holidays.Nasoya is a global, distributed workforce in four countries.
