Medical Front Office - Patient Service Specialist

Overview Position: Patient Service Specialist Location: Columbia, SC & Lexington, SC Type of Employment: PRN/Perdiem (NOT FULL TIME) Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday (7am to 4pm) & Tuesday/Thursday (8am to 5pm) Compensation: $20 to $22/hour (Pending experience) ***This is a PRN (As Needed) position and requires traveling between centers in the greater West Columbia, Forest Acres, and Lexington area. All three locations are around 20 to 30 mins apart*** ***Reliable transportation and a clean driving record is preferred.*** When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Columbia , we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Responsibilities Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required 1 Year of Front Desk Experience 1 Year of Medical Office Experience Preferred Qualifications: Insurance Verification Experience Health Care Experience Additional Data Go Anywhere with Us! 1900 centers in 39 states offering internal movement.
