Senior Pricing Analyst

American Bath Group (ABG) is a leading North American manufacturer of bathware products serving residential, multifamily, hospitality, and e-commerce channels. ABG operates more than 35 manufacturing facilities and 15 distribution locations across North America and is a portfolio company of Centerbridge Partners. We are building a centralized pricing capability within a growing, multi-channel business where pricing has historically been fragmented across divisions. The function is now being consolidated under FP&A with the goal of evolving from reactive, executional support into a more strategic, insight-driven discipline. This is an early-stage build. The team is strong but bandwidth-constrained, and the infrastructure required to support scalable pricing decisions does not yet exist. 2. The Opportunity This role exists to build the analytical foundation that pricing decisions will rely on going forward. Today, pricing work is largely manual, localized, and execution-focused. There is no consistent profitability reporting, no standardized competitive intelligence capability, and limited ability to generate forward-looking insights. You will change that. You will design and build the reporting, tools, and analytical frameworks that allow pricing to operate as a coordinated, scalable function—while simultaneously delivering insights that influence real decisions. This is not an optimization role. It is a build role. 3. Success in Year One By the end of your first year, you will have: Established reliable, repeatable profitability reporting across the U.S. retail business Created visibility into pricing performance across customers, categories, and time Built and operationalized competitive intelligence and market data capabilities Enabled the team to move faster by reducing manual, one-off analysis Demonstrated that your insights are being used in pricing decisions Success is defined not just by analysis delivered—but by systems built and adopted. 4. The Mandate Build the analytical infrastructure required to transform pricing from executional support into a scalable, strategic function. This includes: Designing and building profitability reporting frameworks from the ground up Creating dashboards and tools that stakeholders actively use Establishing a repeatable approach to competitive pricing and market analysis You are expected to build while delivering—not wait for a perfect system before producing output. 5. Year One Critical Outcomes Portfolio-level profitability reporting that is accurate, repeatable, and trusted Pricing performance reporting across: Year-over-year trends Market intelligence dashboards leveraging third-party data sources A structured, repeatable competitive pricing analysis capability Increased team capacity through automation and systemization of analysis These outcomes form the foundation for expanding pricing into additional channels and more strategic work. 6. Why This Role Is Hard You are building in an environment with limited existing infrastructure Data is fragmented and not fully standardized Expectations for output are immediate—you cannot pause to “just build” Problems will not come clearly defined; you will need to structure them yourself Stakeholders will rely on your outputs before the system is fully mature This role requires balancing speed, accuracy, and long-term scalability at the same time. This role is best suited for someone who: Builds systems where none exist rather than relying on established processes Translates ambiguous problems into structured analytical approaches Operates independently without waiting for direction or templates Takes ownership of outputs and stands behind their accuracy Uses data to challenge assumptions and influence decisions You will function as an individual contributor with high ownership and high visibility. 8. Experience Requirements Required: Strong analytical capability (financial modeling, data analysis, and interpretation) Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, low-structure environments Track record of producing accurate, reliable outputs Experience solving problems independently from definition through execution Demonstrated curiosity—ability to investigate drivers, not just report results Preferred: Pricing analytics experience FP&A or financial analysis background Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) Exposure to competitive or market intelligence Background in distribution, manufacturing, or consumer goods 9.
