Full-Charge Bookkeeper | Construction Accounting & Job Costing

North Metro Atlanta Area | Fully Onsite A well-established and growing construction-related company is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper with expertise in Construction Accounting, Job Costing, Project Costing, and Contractor Accounting . This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting leadership in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. We are seeking someone who understands how to manage the financial side of multiple active projects while maintaining accurate records, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial visibility to company leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, bank reconciliations, and month-end close Maintain accurate Construction Accounting records across multiple active projects Perform detailed Job Costing and Project Costing to ensure accurate tracking of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses Track Project Profitability and provide leadership with ongoing financial visibility into project performance Maintain and monitor Cost Codes to ensure accurate allocation of project expenses Process and manage Purchase Orders (POs) , vendor invoices, and project-related expenditures Coordinate with Subcontractors , project managers, and operations teams to ensure project costs are captured accurately Support Project Accounting functions including billing, change orders, retainage, schedules of values, and subcontractor invoicing Prepare and maintain accurate Financial Reporting , including project cost reports and management reports Assist with process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and accounting system optimization Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, cash flow visibility, and operational decision-making Preferred Background 5+ years of experience in Construction Accounting , Contractor Accounting , or Project Accounting Strong experience with Job Costing , Project Costing , Project Profitability Analysis , and Cost Code Management Experience working for a construction, telecom, utility, infrastructure, electrical, roofing, HVAC, or field-service organization Proven experience as a Construction Bookkeeper , Full-Charge Bookkeeper, Construction Accountant, Project Accountant, or Accounting Manager Strong understanding of Purchase Orders , subcontractor management, change orders, and project-based accounting workflows Proficiency with QuickBooks Online is required Experience with Procore, Buildertrend, Sage, Foundation, or other construction accounting/project management systems is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment Why This Opportunity?
